Who's the Fox? Privacy Policy
Effective 13 October 2026 · applies to Who's the Fox? Deduction Game for Android (com.owlbright.whosthefox)
Who's the Fox? is a logic puzzle game: some farm animals on the board are foxes in disguise, and every animal gives one true clue, so you can work out who is a fox without guessing. It has no accounts and no server of its own: we, the developer, do not receive any data about you. The game connects to the internet only for ads (Google AdMob) and for the optional Pro purchase (Google Play). All boards are stored inside the app. This policy explains what happens in each case.

Data that stays on your phone
Your stars, the boards you have unlocked or started, daily boards played and their results, your daily streak, the foxes you have caught, hints used today, the time of the last ad, whether you own Pro, and your settings (sound, language) are saved in a file inside the app's own storage on your phone. This file is never sent to us or to anyone else. When you tap Share result, the game only copies a short text (board or date, time, number of slips, stars, emoji squares) to your phone's clipboard; you decide where to paste it.
Advertising (Google AdMob)
If you do not own Pro, the game shows ads through Google AdMob: a full-screen ad only when you leave the results screen (never in your first 3 boards, never in the middle of a board, at most 5 per session), and a short video only when you choose to watch one for an extra hint or a 24-hour Pro pass. To deliver ads, measure them and prevent fraud, the Google Mobile Ads SDK in the game collects and sends to Google:
- your device's advertising ID and app set ID;
- your IP address, which may be used to estimate your general location;
- interactions with the app and its ads, such as app launches, taps and video views;
- diagnostic information, such as app launch time, hang rate and energy use.
This data is encrypted in transit. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland the game first shows Google's consent message, so you decide whether ads may be personalised. You can change your choice at any time under Settings > Ad privacy choices. Everywhere, you can reset or delete your advertising ID in your phone's Android settings. Google processes this data under its own privacy policy; see how Google uses information from apps that use its services and Google's privacy policy.
Purchases (Google Play)
Who's the Fox? Pro is a one-time purchase handled entirely by Google Play. The game asks Google Play whether you own Pro and stores the answer on your phone. We never see your name, email address or payment details. Google processes purchase data under Google's privacy policy. With Pro, the game shows no full-screen ads.
Legal bases (GDPR)
- Personalised advertising: your consent, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR.
- Non-personalised ads, ad measurement and fraud prevention, which fund the free version: legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
- Checking and restoring a Pro purchase: performance of a contract, Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.
Where data is processed and for how long
Data on your phone stays there until you uninstall the game or clear its storage. Google may process ad and purchase data on servers outside your country, including outside the European Union, and keeps it for the periods described in Google's privacy policy. We keep no data about you.
Delete your data
- Data on your phone: uninstall Who's the Fox?, or clear its storage in Android settings. Your Pro purchase is kept by Google Play and can be restored with Restore purchase in Settings or on the Pro screen.
- Advertising data: reset or delete your advertising ID in Android settings, and in the EEA, UK or Switzerland withdraw consent under Settings > Ad privacy choices.
Your rights
You can ask for access to, correction or deletion of your data, restriction of processing and data portability, object to processing, and withdraw consent at any time. Because we hold no data about you, we can usually only point you to the settings above and to Google. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.
Age
Who's the Fox? is meant for players aged 13 and over and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If your country sets a higher age for consenting to personalised ads, ask a parent before you agree.
Changes
We will update this page when the game's data use changes and show the new effective date above.
Datenschutzerklärung von Who's the Fox?
Gültig ab 13. Oktober 2026 · gilt für Who's the Fox?

Who's the Fox?
Rechtsgrundlagen (DSGVO)
- Personalisierte Werbung: deine Einwilligung, Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. a DSGVO.
Alter
