Keys Dash Privacy Policy

Effective 11 October 2026 · applies to Keys Dash: Typing Game for Android (com.owlbright.keysdash)

Keys Dash is a typing race: you type words as fast and accurately as you can against three computer runners labelled "AI". It has no accounts, no online multiplayer and no server of its own: we, the developer, do not receive any data about you. What you type is never stored and never sent anywhere. The game connects to the internet only for ads (Google AdMob) and for the optional Pro purchase (Google Play).

Data that stays on your phone

For each finished race the game saves numbers only: words per minute (WPM), accuracy, number of words, race length, your place and the letters you missed most often (up to your last 400 races). It also saves your WPM record, totals, the words the game showed you in your last 20 races (so they do not repeat), the time of the last ad, whether you own Pro, and your settings (sound, language, race length, word pack). All of this is kept in a file inside the app's own storage on your phone and is never sent to us or to anyone else. The keyboard you use is your phone's keyboard app; Keys Dash does not read anything you type outside the game.

Advertising (Google AdMob)

If you do not own Pro, the game shows a full-screen ad only when you leave the results screen: never during a race, never in your first 3 races, never after the first race of a session, at least 2 minutes apart and at most 5 per session. There are no banner ads and no ads when the game opens. To deliver ads, measure them and prevent fraud, the Google Mobile Ads SDK in the game collects and sends to Google:

This data is encrypted in transit. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland the game first shows Google's consent message, so you decide whether ads may be personalised. You can change your choice at any time under Settings > Ad privacy choices. Everywhere, you can reset or delete your advertising ID in your phone's Android settings. Google processes this data under its own privacy policy; see how Google uses information from apps that use its services and Google's privacy policy.

Purchases (Google Play)

Keys Dash Pro is a one-time purchase handled entirely by Google Play. The game asks Google Play whether you own Pro and stores the answer on your phone. We never see your name, email address or payment details. Google processes purchase data under Google's privacy policy. With Pro, the game shows no full-screen ads.

Legal bases (GDPR)

Where data is processed and for how long

Data on your phone stays there until you uninstall the game or clear its storage. Google may process ad and purchase data on servers outside your country, including outside the European Union, and keeps it for the periods described in Google's privacy policy. We keep no data about you.

Delete your data

Your rights

You can ask for access to, correction or deletion of your data, restriction of processing and data portability, object to processing, and withdraw consent at any time. Because we hold no data about you, we can usually only point you to the settings above and to Google. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.

Age

Keys Dash is meant for players aged 13 and over and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If your country sets a higher age for consenting to personalised ads, ask a parent before you agree.

Changes

We will update this page when the game's data use changes and show the new effective date above.
