Burrowland

A logic puzzle in a field notebook: place one burrowing animal in every colored burrow, one per row and column, and keep any two animals from touching, corners too. Every board unlocks real facts about badgers, meerkats, puffins and nine more animals.

How a board plays

Each colored burrow needs exactly one animal. Every row and every column holds one animal too, and no two animals may sit next to each other, even diagonally. Mark the impossible cells with X until each animal has only one place left.

One animal per burrow, row and column. Two animals never touch, not even at the corners.
A hint names the next logical step and why it works, then highlights the burrow, row or column it means.
No lives and no timer. Animals that touch light up in red; undo and keep going. Mistakes only cost a star.
A field guide page for each of 12 real burrowing animals, with facts from Wikidata unlocked as you play.
